Praying for Lauren Scruggs

This weekend a girl I went to high school with was in a terrible accident. Her and I had many friends in common and hung out on occasion, and my heart is just broken for her and for her family as they go through this long process of recovery.

She was exiting a prop plane in Dallas and walked too close to the front propeller and it slashed her face, cut her eye, did a lot of damage to her shoulder, and cut off her hand. She’s in the ICU now and already miracles are happening in her recovery. Her parents and sister are truly amazing people and have an incredible story - this is adding another chapter to it, and they want to reach others from it.

Lauren is a model, has worked in the wardrobe department for several TV shows, and recently launched her own online magazine - LOLO Mag (which you should definitely check out). She’s done a lot already in her career and because of her notoriety, this story has gotten national attention. People and E! Online featured stories last night and her parents were on Good Morning America and The Today Show this morning. They are such passionate followers of the Lord and really want him to be glorified in this, so please pray for them, for their strength and wisdom especially as they’re given this national stage, to show His love.

It’s a long road ahead for her - she’s speaking a few words, but isn’t conscious enough to know what’s happened to her yet and to realize the extent of the damage. Every prayer counts.
